Reactive high-tech sealing that forms an extremely chemical and abrasion-resistant hydrophobic nanonetwork on all glass, mirror and ceramic surfaces and seals them over the long term. The resulting lotus effect reduces the adhesion of environmental dirt, insects, ice, etc., resulting in an easy-to-clean surface. The use on car windscreens leads to a unique beading behavior, from approx. 80 km/h raindrops are driven away by the wind, to a significantly reduced use of the windscreen wipers and improved visibility in the rain. Durability: up to a year or 20,000 km. Contents of the set: 250 ml each of grinding milk and nano sealant.
Application:
A1. Cleaning of glass surfaces:
1. Pre-cleaning of the glass surfaces before sealing:
- Clean windows carefully with a glass cleaner.
- In the case of very stubborn dirt, first clean with cleaning clay (mild) until there are no residues.
2. Activation of the pane and removal of glass corrosion:
- Thoroughly clean the glass surface with grinding milk (component 1).
- Shake vigorously before each use.
- Grinding milk for mechanical use (polishing machine) Apply the polishing pad to the glass surface at low speed.
- Manual application with a polishing sponge is also possible.
- Polish thinly for several minutes.
- Then buff vigorously until the surface feels smooth and a dry film forms.
- With older discs, this process must be carried out particularly carefully.
- (Because the upper, corroded glass layer has to be completely removed to ensure perfect cross-linking.)
- Do not apply to plastics and rubber (risk of white residue).
- Then polish off the residue of the abrasive using dry, clean paper towels.
- - To avoid cross-linking problems, do not touch the panes with your fingers afterwards (use disposable gloves).
A2. Cleaning ceramic surfaces:
- Thoroughly clean the ceramic surfaces to be treated with an acidic cleaner (e.g. bathroom cleaner with anti-limescale formula).
- Rinse with water and dry completely.
- Do not use abrasive milk as the tile alloy will be removed and white residue will form in the joints.
B. Sealing:
1. Necessary conditions nano glass sealing (component 2):
- Only apply to completely dry panes or ceramic surfaces.
- Ambient temperatures must be between 10 and 30°C (ideally 15-25°C).
- Avoid sun exposure during application.
- Use suitable disposable gloves.
2nd application of nano glass sealant (component 2):
- When applying component 2 (application per m²: approx. 25-30 ml) to windscreens, start with one half.
- Apply to the surface using a paper towel.
- Polish in until an even liquid film is formed.
- Apply component 2 several times during the polishing process until the recommended amount is reached.
- After 2-3 minutes an even film is formed (without dripping).
3. Removal of nano-glass sealing (component 2):
- After about 2 minutes, polish off the film with a clean paper towel without leaving any residue.
- Sealing residues that are difficult to remove can be removed again using component 2 and then polished off immediately.
4. Hardening of the seal:
- Depending on the temperature (warmer is faster), the seal has hardened after 15-60 minutes.
- Protect from water and new soiling until fully cured.
Hints:
- Do not apply to heated surfaces.
- Not suitable for glass treatment in vehicle interiors.
- (In the passenger compartment, the hydrophobic effect increases the tendency to fog up.)
- Close opened containers tightly again immediately after use.
- Components 1 + 2 have a shelf life of approx. 1 year.
- Highly hydrophilic windshield washer additives (e.g. surfactants) can have a negative effect on the beading effect.
