Cleaning putty removes dirt that you can't necessarily see but can definitely feel, such as industrial dust, brake dust or insect remains. These impurities still feel very rough after waxing and can lead to rust on the surfaces over time due to oxidation. These oxidized areas can then only be eliminated with a great deal of effort.

Chemical Guys putty is very elastic and won't break into small pieces like poor quality putty can. Use cleaning clay for all paintwork, glass, fiberglass, metal etc. and remove light oxidation, brake dust and insect remains quickly and reliably. When used correctly, you will give your paintwork a mirror-smooth surface.

Application:

1. Thoroughly wash your vehicle to remove any dirt that would unnecessarily contaminate the cleaning putty.
2. Spray a section with eg Chemical Guys LUBER lubricant and shape the putty into a handy flat shape.
3. Place the putty on the sprayed area and move it back and forth until all debris has been loosened and the putty slides easily and freely over the surface.
4. If you use LUBER, wipe the treated surface with a clean microfiber cloth to remove any dirt and inspect the paintwork surface.
5. Before you treat the next area, inspect your cleaning putty for dirt and fold it if necessary. However, if it is too dirty or has even fallen on the floor, replace the putty with a new piece.
6. After treating all paint surfaces, you can also treat all glass surfaces with Chemical Guys Clay Putty.
7. Now wash your vehicle again to ensure that all dissolved dirt is rinsed off and your vehicle is ready for the following work steps.
